After joining a few thousand others for the September 21st climate change wake up call yesterday I had a drink and chat with my friends who I met there. One of them will give me some worms from her worm bin. I have made a small prototype bin to keep in my kitchen. We will see if it works, and if it does I’ll post some pictures.
I had to empty my bin yesterday. Some mushrooms that I had thrown away had rotted, filled the kitchen with a hideous smell and sent an army of tiny maggots out searching for a new place to live.
In the meantime here are some people who get it below the Sacre Coeur

Paul gave me the worms this morning, a swift exchange outside of school. I have just put them in their new home. A lot of them seemed skinny and lethargic. Let’s see how they fatten up…
The worms seem happy under the kitchen sink – they look fatter, redder and more active than when I put them there. The bin does not smell strongly at all. Now can they multiply to take advantage of the food they are getting?
